Greeks and Italians Denounce Government Barriers

Although recovery is slowly spreading from Germany to other EU member countries, and all but two EU countries (Cyprus and Slovenia), are expected to avoid recession in 2014, economic growth estimates are weak. Jobless rate for the entire region are expected to remain near a record 12%.

Rwanda's Reset

Administration Goes 'All In' on Global Entrepreneurship

Following up on President Obama's promise at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit last fall, the administration today convened the first-ever meeting of its Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship (PAGE). The group features accomplished entrepreneurs such as Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, Rich Barton, co-founder of Zillow, Tory Burch, fashion entrepreneur / brand, and Steve Case, chairman and CEO of Revolution.

Measuring the Impact of Entrepreneurship Education

Entrepreneurship education and training programs have rapidly proliferated in recent years. However, impact evaluation to determine what really works versus what doesn't in preparing the next wave of entrepreneurs has not kept pace. A couple of organizations have set out to address such challenge of increased investment in educational entrepreneurship programs without corresponding research or evidence to support decisions, including the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network (GERN), a collaboration of research organizations around the world.
