Adapting to change in the mobile world is inevitable. Join us on July 10th as Mutual Mobile's Conrad Stoll discusses events that have impacted the mobile development industry and how developers can prepare for the iOS 7 launch this fall.
Conrad has worked with Mutual Mobile as an iOS Architect for two years on new projects with a focus on best practices throughout their iOS team.
Come to this month's AMPD meetup at The Capital Factory and learn how iOS 7 will affect your future mobile development.
Conrad shared this about his presentation:
On June 10th Apple unveiled the next generation of iOS 7 and the future of mobile design was dramatically changed. The detailed textures, gradients, and shadows are giving way to immersive interaction and delightful animation. Apple's design principles for iOS 7 are very different. Developers and designers have always taken some direction from Apple's design principles and now those principles have completely changed. Developers of mobile apps on the iOS platform will need to change accordingly.
Responding to change is an important fact in industry, but it's more like a force of nature in the mobile world. The mobile space has seen the rise and fall of multiple platforms and operating systems, popular web services, and now entire user interface design paradigms. This rate of change has a big impact on the market and on users but it also has a major impact on the companies that need to be prepared to respond quickly in order to stay ahead in an ever changing landscape.
In this talk we'll cover some examples of industry transforming events and talk about how they inform the decisions developers will have to make about supporting iOS 7 when it launches this fall.
As always, beer and pizza will be provided (Sponsored by Marketing Clique & TapFire Mobile). We look forward to seeing everyone at the next AMPD meetup!
