Tech Panel Digital Media
Remember buying the Sunday New York Times? Or saving old issues of Jane and National Geographic? News distribution via printed, paper media is fast becoming an artifact of the past, while eyeballs have moved online, and onto mobile platforms.
At this month's tech panel, we will be discussing the future of digital media. How have tech platforms changed storytelling, reporting and news consumption? Also, we'll discuss how publications are morphing into content platforms, and vice versa. And finally, how will business models continue to adapt to support quality content?
Ticket includes one free drink and small bites. Our opening networking happy hour with the panelists and guests allows an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals interested in digital media.
The panel includes:
Matt Galligan, Co-founder and CEO, Circa
Evan Hansen, Editor at Medium and former Editor in Chief at Wired.com
Richard Koci Hernandez, Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and Emmy Award Winning Multimedia Journalist
Justinne Sharrock, West Coast Editor at BuzzFeed
Moderated by Laura Ramos, General Manager and Executive Producer for The Bold Italic
This panel is hosted in collaboration with General Assembly.
