Virtualization with KVM in Linux Webinar By EITAGlobal
Why should you attend: Virtualization and the "cloud" are common concepts today. However, the commercial virtualization vendors are changing their pricing models and making it increasingly expensive to create a virtualization infrastructure. This session will show how to create and control virtual machines using the open-source kernel virtual machine (KVM) software in Linux. This session will also cover the important hardware-based virtualization extensions and their importance to successful deployment of a virtual or cloud-based infrastructure.
Areas Covered in the Session:
Motivations for virtualization
Hardware assist for virtualization
Virtualized platform characteristics
Defining your first virtual machine
Installing your virtual machine
Configuring and running virtual machines with KVM
Cloud infrastructure and management software such as OpenStack,
OpenNebula and others
