Access for entrepreneurs: An interview with Dominique Pahud (video)
At MedCity CONVERGE, a national, executive-level summit on healthcare innovation in Philadelphia this week, eMed sat down with the Kauffman Foundation’s Dominique Pahud to discuss access for entrepreneurs.
Pahud discussed the opportunities and challenges around access, models where entrepreneurs, care teams, patients, and institutions are innovating as a team (such as C3N), and ideas for making this innovation happen more systematically. “The challenge for [entrepreneurs] is to test and deploy their technologies within the context of care: hospitals, community clinics, and elsewhere,” Pahud said. “The folks in those environments are not used to working with entrepreneurs. It’s a big hurdle they need to overcome in order to deploy their innovations.”
