This event will feature a talk from one of the Washington region's great entrepreneurs, Mark Walsh. Mark Walsh is a well-known entrepreneur, angel investor and executive. He has had a rich history of involvement in internet-based startups and successful companies, serving as an SVP of AOL in the mid- nineties, as CEO of VerticalNet before, during and after the last bubble, and leading not-for-profits in the education, political and social-value arenas since then. He is currently an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Revolution Partners, where he is involved with their portfolio companies, including a recent stint assisting FedBid in creating a commercial market strategy. He serves on a number of corporate boards, both private and public, and on the boards of a number of well known non-profits in the DC area and throughout the US. He also maintains an active angel investment portfolio that has had some significant IPO’s and M&A successes over the last few years. Mark is also a well-known media personality, and is a regular on MSNBC, CNBC and LeftJab Radio, a show he co-founded in 2006, that remains a nationally broadcast program on SiriusXM Radio.
