German Tax and Law 101 for founders

7/10/2013 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM

No matter how great your idea and team: not being aware of legal and taxation aspects of your incorporation, company setup, and taxation can either break your neck within months of having started or will come back to bite you in the ass when you expand your business.

While the complexity of German incorporation and taxaction law is not as mind-boggling as rumour has it, it's important to understand the basics, and be it only to ask the right questions.

As a bonus, we'll pay special attention to differences of German laws to foreign ones in that field. So if you already incorporated a startup abroad and want to learn what to do with your S.A., S.R.L., OY, Ltd. and how it compares to German UG and GmbH, don't miss this event.

Our legal expert: Christian "The Law" Musfeldt. Having worked several years as a VC investment manager for Dumont Venture and now being at renowned international law firm Osborne Clarke, Christian is one of Germany's Top 5 most knowledgeable lawyers when it comes to startup incorporation, VC terms, and investment law.

Our tax expert: Daniel "Numbers" Frischkorn. Daniel runs international tax consultancy Ecovis' Berlin office and is among the very few people who can get seriously excited about explaining the labyrinthian ways of the German corporate tax system to beginners.

After Christian and Daniel's introductory keynotes, we want YOU to pitch your business and get instant advice on your legal and tax challenges.
