"Underscore is a utility-belt library for JavaScript that provides a lot of the functional programming support that you would expect in Prototype.js (or Ruby), but without extending any of the built-in JavaScript objects. It's the tie to go along with jQuery's tux, and Backbone.js's suspenders."

Introductory overview of Underscore.js library with examples and discussions regarding its use with JavaScript collections, arrays, functions and objects. How to give your code more performance and make it readable without sacrificing development time nor complexity. This session will be mostly coding examples with practical uses from real world applications.

Audience

Anyone interested in building Web applications that would like to learn new skills, meet like-minded people who enjoy building Web applications and geeks. This meeting is open to everyone and everyone will feel comfortable regardless of your current skill level.
