Over the past few years, we have seen many emerging techniques to making software extremely fast. These techniques has ranged from attempting to leverage multiple cores on the CPU, farming out processing to many slave machines, messaging, to the rise of the functional languages all attempting to meet this promise.
Most software initiatives have followed one of the above patterns to increasing throughput in their systems, except for a company called LMAX. Instead, they went a completely different route and have successfully achieved astounding results. More than that, they have open sourced their solution and made it freely available for use.
Join me as we talk about how LMAX Distruptor works and how you can start leveraging it in order to achieve amazing performance results.
