Connected Commonwealth 1 November 2013 at Germanna Community College. Save the Date!
Over the last few months we have spent a great deal of time finding and working with founders, working at our own startups, sometimes still working at our day jobs, and connecting with other startup communities outside of our region in order to fully quantify the opportunities and challenges for startups in the Fredericksburg region.
As a region with heavy investment in government services, healthcare, environmental services, commercial and residential development, and more generalized professional services, we believe that there exists untapped potential in partnerships between our startup community and the larger companies in our region. Where larger companies with market footing face constraints in innovating quickly, startups that can rapidly innovate face great challenges getting to market.
And we think there's no better way to tap into this potential than over some beer and bites. We are finalizing event details for the next Connected Commonwealth which will be held at Germanna Community College on 1 NOVEMBER 2013 and will be sending out event information shortly. Our goal is to focus this meeting on connecting VA Startups and medium to large corporations to create sustainable innovation in the region. Leadership from 1776, a super accelerator in Washington DC, will be keynote speaking at our event. We hope to see you there!
