Hi All,

This is a special event in partnership with Melbourne Functional Users Group and clj-syd. It will replace the regular clj-melb meetup that was scheduled for the 14th of November (that meetup will now be cancelled). There are further details below.

Ambrose Bonnaire-Sergeant will be visiting us from Perth to talk about his creation, Typed Clojure - https://github.com/clojure/core.typed. Typed Clojure is an optional, static type system for Clojure. Ambrose has developed Typed Clojure to a production ready state and will be working on it full time for the next few months due to a successful fund raising campaign on indiegogo, http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/typed-clojure.

Ambrose will be presenting in both Melbourne and Sydney. For the Sydney details see: http://www.meetup.com/clj-syd/events/145650132/

Since Ambrose will be giving this talk in person this will be a paid event. We will be asking all people attending the event to pay $10 AUD at the door to help cover the costs of bringing Ambrose to Melbourne.

Any extras will be used to buy drinks for the meetup.

Please note that this meetup will be in a different location than usual, many thanks to Silver Pond who have kindly offered the use of their office for the event.

I hope you all can make it, it should be a fantastic night!

Please RSVP ASAP. Also please RSVP only if you are willing to pay the fee on the night.

If you have trouble getting into the building you can call me on [masked].

Thanks,

James
