Healthcare tech entrepreneurs can take the Shark Tank plunge in Boston
Christina Hernandez Sherwood, eMed Editor, MedCity News
Early-stage health technology entrepreneurs and startups can plunge into the "shark tank" at Brigham and Women's Hospital next month for the chance to find a clinical partner. The BWH iHub Pilot Shark Tank is seeking entrepreneurs who can propose solutions to two key healthcare challenges: patient and family experience in the inpatient setting and patient engagement in the outpatient setting.
Apply for the April 28 event by filling out the application here. (The deadline to submit is Friday, March 7.) Accepted teams will present a five-minute demo to a panel of judges, including physicians and hospital administrators, in "Shark Tank" style. The judges will decide whether to move forward with pilots surrounding the proposed solutions -- potentially on the day of the event.
